Waldemar Gromolak - classical guitar virtuoso is a recognised and highly regarded soloist, chamber musician and a pedagogue. Ever since the beginning of his career, Waldemar Gromolak has continued, a very rich artistic activity. He keeps on performing with the philharmonic orchestras both, in Poland and abroad. His artistic achievements include symphonic concerts in Germany, the Czech Republic and Lebanon. Meanwhile, he has been collaborating with the most prominent Polish conductors, such as Antoni Wit, Marek Pijarowski, Marek Moś, Wojciech Czepiel, and Wojciech Rodek. His symphonic works resulted in the recording of the famous "Concierto de Aranjuez" by Joaquin Rodrigo with the National Polish Radio Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Antoni Wit. It was aired nation-wide by the Programme Two TV channel during the famous New Year’s Eve Concert. Another important event in his career was the release of Joaquin Rodrigo Concerts, an album recorded with the Symphonic Orchestra of Łódź Philharmonic Hall conducted by Wojciech Czepiel. This is the first Polish guitar recording nominated for the Fryderyk, the prestigious music award. Upon the reception of the nomination, the artist became a member of the Phonographic Academy. He is the first Polish guitarist who was able to record the Joaquin Rodrigo most famous guitar concerts.

Waldemar Gromolak has won many prestigious awards at major international guitar competitions. Laurels won at competitions in Weimar, Pirna, Cologne, Volos, Krakow, Tychy and Lodz opened the way to the major guitar festivals in Poland, Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Sweden, Greece, France, Lebanon, Hungary and Belarus.

Waldemar Gromolak is also an outstanding chamber musician who performs with the leading Polish artists. His versatility and openness generates opportunities to participate in extraordinary artistic projects.

He has become a highly respected educator. He shares his vast knowledge and skills delivering lectures and conducting master classes at international music courses throughout the country and abroad. He has been the faculty member at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw since 2001. His students are winners of national and international guitar competitions who obtain grants from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Mayor of Wroclaw.

Waldemar Gromolak has received an excellent education. He graduated from the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne thriving under the guidance of internationally renowned professors such as Hubert Kappel and Roberto Aussel.

His new CD “Waldemar Gromolak/Aukso String Quintet” includes pieces composed by Manuel Maria Ponce, Aleksander Tansman, Leo Brouwer and Agustin Barrios-Mangore.
